I just finished my forth day of my new job, and I must say, I FREAKING LOVE IT.

I'm working at a Ford Dealership as a Porter. Now for those of you who don't know what a Porter is, It's the guy who moves the cars from where you, the costomer, parked it to the back, where the Techs take it, and put it in there stalls to work on. When I'm not doing that, I'm in the shop, sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, and anything else they need.

I must say, my work ethic has never been this strong. I'm keeping busy thrughout the day, I get to drive such interesting cars, some are so badass that I don't want to get out of them. Some accually have rearview cameras that help me when I back up.

I'm enjoying the work, and it's so satisfying to hear thank you from the techs, and Paul, everone's boss. Apperently the previous Porter(s) hardly did anything. Sure they would move cars, but they wouldn't put in the effort to clean, or do any extra carricular work. I just got done mopping, and cleaning, the back rooms, and mopping the entire shop floor.

And I'm curtainly turning some heads, My boss, Paul, Said the shop has NEVER looked so good. When the floor was dirty, the shop just looked dark, and put everyone in a depressing mood. Now after I've cleaned it, it looks shiny, makes the shop look brighter, and puts everyone in a good mood.

They all have been saying good things to me, and about me. One guy said that "I have done more shit in one day, then Kareem (the previous porter, who now works in detailing)ever did in a week." Paul himself said that I put Kareem to shame. Today, at lunch, Paul was in the break room, and handing out the upsail bonuses, which are determained buy a literal roll of the dice. Anyway, I walked up to get a soda from the vending machine, and as I reached down to pick up a dime I dropped, and Paul hands me $5. He said "This is for doing such a great job."

I told my dad (Who happens to also work there as a Tech) and he couldn't believe it. He told Mike, his parner, and he said. "What?! That's unheard of. Paul never gives out tips. He's the cheapest basterd I know!"

Appreciation and Recognition. Those are the two biggest words that perfectly describe my experiances down there. I'm doing good work, and I'm appreciated for it. That was the main thing I was missing at the theater. I did all that work, and was treated like crap. Here, I'm treated better. They like me. I enjoy working for them, and it's 40 hours a week. At More then $9 and hour.

I feel great. :D
